Recently, we have received a number of customers from the lighting industry who have come to us with a clear purpose: to apply our offline speech recognition control technology to their lighting products. Some of these customers are professional big factories engaged in OEM processing for big brands in the lighting industry, and some are professional manufacturers of intelligent lighting products. After in-depth communication, we found that these customers had a common characteristic: they used to make intelligent lighting products, some of which were controlled by RF, some were controlled by smart phone, or online speech control platform such as "Tmall wizard" intelligent speaker, "Xiaomi" intelligent speaker, and Amazon Echo intelligent speaker.
So why they plan to change the subject to offline speech control? Let’s learn their story
One Ceiling lamp manufacture told us that they are the first batch enterprise to manufacture the intelligent lamps. In the very beginning the consumers were very interested about the intelligent control items. But once the novelty is over, they thought the so-called "intelligence" is just that. Their original remote control technique was applied by RF control. So beside the remote controller for TV, Air conditioner, Music centers, the consumers need keep one more remote controller for the ceiling lamp. When you what to change the brightness or color temperature of the lamp you need find exclusive remote controller from many remote controllers. Obviously it’s not “intelligent”.
Another LED manufacture introduced they production the RGB (color change) LED lamp. With their App on smart phone, you can change the lamp color to any color you want. The best applicable scene is for birthday celebration or KTV for atmosphere. But let’s think about it. How often you will have a birthday celebration in your home and do you need ask the consumers download the App every times while they use that KTV room?
Recent years there are some giants Internet-based enterprises start to add a small wifi module in various products and make it available to connect with their intelligent speakers to realizes online speech control.
With the huge subsidies of these giants, the price for this intelligent speaker can be very low. And the market was buzzing for it in a period of time. But when the consumers gradually calmed down they will found some obvious flaws of the online speech control.
